Over a quarter of a million people have seen the live recording of the ICMA Gala Concert at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, with winners of the International Classical Music Awards 2022 and the Luxembourg Philharmonic conducted by Adam Fischer. The event could have been followed on Papageno’s Facebook Page, too.
The winners received the ICMA trophies during the annual Award Ceremony that took place at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg on 21 April 2022. This evening also included a Gala Concert with the participation of a number of the winners and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Adam Fischer.
Among the many comments from all over the world in Deutsche Welle’s YouTube channel, a majority says that this was ‘a wonderful” or “an amazing concert’. ICMA President Remy Franck says: ‘For ICMA this success is overwhelming. Reading comments from Indonesia, Colombia, Argentina, Ethiopia, Canada, the United States, and from many other countries is absolutely terrific. Our thanks go to the Deutsche Welle and the Philharmonie Luxembourg who made this possible.’
The International Classical Music Awards are the preeminent awards for classical music on an international level. The jury consists of professional music critics of the most important magazines, online services and radio stations. This year, for the first time, Papageno has also participated in the jury.
