The winners of the 16th Géza Anda International Piano Competition has been announced: first prize and the Audience Prize went to Ilya Shmukler, with Dmitry Yudin and Daumants Liepins sharing second place.
The three finalists performed at the Tonhalle Zurich, conducted by Paavo Järvi. You can watch the final here:
The international jury was chaired by Rico Gulda. The other members of the jury were Martha Argerich, Ricardo Castro, Zlata Chochieva, Lucas Debargue, Konstanze Eickhorst, Toshio Hosokawa, Robert Levin and Dénes Várjon.
