The European Early Music Network (REMA) is organising a conference dedicated to the Early Music scene in South Eastern Europe. The conference will take place on November 21st, with additional activities on the 20th and 22nd, in Bucharest, at the invitation of the Bucharest Early Music Festival.
This events, open to both REMA members and local stakeholders who are not members of the network, provide a forum for various actors in the sector to meet and work on the specific scheme and challenges of this local early music scene, and to facilitate the circulation of projects and initiatives at national and international level. The conference is open to the entire sector, including festivals, ensembles, conservatories, researchers, and students.
The historic centre of Bucharest will provide an ideal backdrop for round tables and other specialist keynote presentations. The days will be punctuated by convivial moments, during which participants will be invited to exchange ideas. The final day of the event will conclude with a concert dedicated to the compositions of Vivaldi, presented by the dynamic SEMPRE ensemble.
