The 68-year-old Hungarian pianist will make several concerto and solo recital appearances in the 2022/23 season of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
One program includes Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, with Schiff conducting the orchestra in the overture from Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony. In his second program András Schiff will perform Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3, with Ivan Fischer leading the orchestra.
