After two years of forced pause, the European Forum on Music (EFM), organised by the European Music Council is finally back with its 11th edition ‘Sustain Music’ and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Budapest, Hungary from 8 to 10 June 2023.
Still in the middle of recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the music sector is being faced with new challenges. The Russian invasion in Ukraine has caused a social, economic, and humanitarian crisis in Europe and beyond. In addition, climate action remains an important societal task that the music sector is actively contributing to.
In these uncertain times, music remains a vital element for Europe’s diverse and fair societies – music sustains. As music can be understood as a relationship between people, a relationship based on shared values, it is more important than ever to stand up for the IMC Five Music Rights, including the rights to access and celebrate music for all, and the right to be fairly remunerated for musical activities.
Come and join hundreds of music professionals and art enthusiasts from all over Europe, and get to know relevant case studies, learn about exciting music projects, and meet your peers who share the same aim: to Sustain Music.
