The FVG Orchestra (Friuli Venezia Giulia) from Udine will give a free concert on 27 October at 19.30 in the amphitheatre of the Ajka Cultural Centre.
The FVG Orchestra is involved in the promotion of the European Capital of Culture 2025 programme for Nova Gorica and is building an ideal „road” towards 2025. And by performing in other European Capitals of Culture, it strengthens the cooperation between the ECC cities.
Since 2019, the FVG Orchestra has been giving concerts every year in the capitals of Central Europe and also performing in the European Capitals of Culture. Last year the orchestra played in the synagogue in Novi Sad (ECF 2022), and this year they will visit Ajka, which is part of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme with its numerous programmes – thus the FVG Orchestra will link three cities that have worn, are wearing or will wear the most important cultural title of the European Union.
For all these reasons, the FVG Orchestra (which has just finished a tour of Italy) is going on an international tour this year: on 26 October they will perform in Prague and on 27 October in Ajka, the latter concert being also part of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme.
The FVG Orchestra is a symphony orchestra commissioned by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region and founded in 2019 with the aim of bringing together the diverse musical heritage of the border region, rich in musical traditions. Since its foundation, the orchestra has actively contributed to the promotion of classical music both locally and nationally.
