The art KARLSRUHE international art fair will take place again this February, where Hungary will be represented by the Várfok Gallery for the tenth consecutive year. Renowned for its commitment to presenting exceptional works of art, the gallery will curate an exquisite stand featuring a distinguished roster of artists, both seasoned and emerging. We look forward to welcoming you to the Várfok Gallery’s A16 stand in Hall 1.
Highlighting Legendary Legacy: Françoise Gilot (1921-2023)
A major focal point of the Várfok Gallery’s showcase will be the awe-inspiring art of the late Françoise Gilot, who left an indelible mark on the art world before her passing at the age of 101 in June. Gilot’s triumph as an artist is a tale of perseverance, having transcended the label of ‘Picasso’s Muse’ to establish herself as a first-class artist. The gallery takes immense pride in being the sole European representative of her legacy.
Gilot’s works, housed in prestigious private collections and global museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
