DZ’OB has just unveiled the debut single, titled „Six Ate the Avalanches in the Rye,” along with a captivating live video produced by EVE8.
Hailing from Dnipro, DZ’OB has garnered attention from notable sources such as The Guardian and earned admiration from the founder of the esteemed label, Ninja Tune, who dubbed them as leaders of the Ukrainian avant-garde scene.
Their music blends electroacoustic IDM with influences from techno, dubstep, and jazz, seamlessly marrying contemporary dance beats with academic nuances.
The story of creating the album began in 2019, and we have traversed a very tough path on many levels – personal, ensemble, and civic. The new album will be dedicated to Ukrainian children, many of whom have lost their lives, lost their childhood, lost their parents, or been separated from them. For us, this is one of the most painful and relevant traumas of this war.
