Ukrainian double-bass player and composer Igor Zakus in collaboration with Bendik Hofseth, Malou Oheix, Claude Egea, Benoit Sourisse, Pierre Perchaud and Andre Charlier released a new album I’m Alive on GEMINI RECORDS.
Music is written during the war between russia and Ukraine. Each of the tracks has a name that conveys one of the feelings, emotions that give strength and lead to our victory. The album is a dedication to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Igor Zakus is an artist whose music is often vulnerable, always sensitive, and spiritual. His main concern and joy in music is always the melody that tells the story: sounds of electric and acoustic instruments laid on a colorful groove are the language he speaks about his thing, tells about his feelings and experiences.
