The premiere of a suite inspired by the brilliant Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko’s paintings, composed by Kateryna Kravchenko, will take place at the Staatsschauspiel Kleines Haus in Dresden as part of a charity concert for Ukraine.
„This suite brings together jazz and classical musicians who collaborate and improvise to create something truly unique. It draws inspiration from the paintings of the great Maria Prymachenko, whose museum was tragically destroyed during the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
This project holds immense significance for me. With it, I aim to contribute to the culture of my homeland, which is currently suffering under the war unleashed by Russia,” Kateryna mentions.
All donations from the concert will go to the organization „Save Ukraine,” which is dedicated to bringing deported Ukrainian children back home.
