Belgian soprano Jodie Devos died on 16 June 2024 in Paris at the age of 35, following a bout of breast cancer that forced her to cancel several recent engagements.
After studying at the Institut de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur and the Royal Academy of Music in London, she won second prize and the audience award at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium in 2014.
She has performed on the world’s major stages and worked with renowned conductors and stage directors.
Jodie Devos has recorded numerous CDs for Alpha Classics. In 2015 she was named Young Artist of the Year at the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
