The Gustav Mahler Research Center was established by the University of Innsbruck and the Italian Gustav Mahler „Euregio” Cultural Centre.
Head of department of the Liszt Academy professor Lóránt Péteri became the member of the advisory board of the institute in Toblach. „There is constant international interest in Mahler’s ouvre both in the scientific and cultural life, therefore, the Mahler phenomenon simultaneously has local and global importance” — Lóránt Péteri says.
