Completed at the end of last year, the spectacular House of Hungarian Music will open its doors to the public on the last weekend of January 2022 with an exciting exhibition and music programme.
Designed by world-renowned Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, the multi-award-winning building’s glass-walled concert hall will host a wide variety of musical styles, with special productions and collaborations, in line with the concept of the institution.
One of the most important missions of the House of Hungarian Music is to bring the world of music closer to as many visitors as possible, by creating a place for a wider audience open to music, in addition to those who are already familiar with the field. The result is an institution that helps to showcase talent and supports both national and international musical collaborations.
In this spirit, the debut programme of the House of Hungarian Music represents a very broad musical spectrum, from classical music to traditional and global music, from jazz to pop music, and electronic music—with artists from Hungary and all over the world.
