NFTs in music, digital pianos in education, livestream solutions—at the international conference organised by Papageno and the Hungarian Music Council leading experts presented and discussed exciting new developments in classical music on 12–13 May at the Palace of Arts Budapest.
Held for the fourth time this year, the two-day prestigious professional meeting was open for everyone who was interested in the programme, especially professionals involved in the performing arts.
On the first day digital solutions and developments took centre stage, including Steinway’s digital flagship product Spirio, and SYMPHONY, a newly launched “classical music Netflix” service.
The European lifestream world—IDAGIO, ARTE, IMZ and eSzínház—, Jeunesses Musicales’ classical music incubator project enCORE, and educational projects such as Focus on You, Play it Loud! and Werk Academy all had their own sections.
On May 13, the second day of the conference, the “Danube Day of Classical Music” brought together classical music festivals, symphony orchestras, and conservatories from the Danube countries to present their work and exchange experiences in round-table discussions.
The House of Hungarian Music and JM Austria, the Enescu Festival and Classic.Esterhazy & Herbstgold presented their work; a number of classical music experts from Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia also took part in the conference.
