Marina Gera is the first woman to represent Hungary among the members of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Founded in 1969, the New York-based organisation comprised of the leading entertainment figures across all sectors of the television industry, from over 60 countries. The Academy was chartered with a mission to recognize excellence in television programming produced outside the United States of America. Every year, the International Emmy Awards celebrate outstanding achievements across 20 categories.
Marina Gera was nominated by Polish producer Pola Hempowicz. The Hungarian actress won the International Emmy Awards with her performance in Eternal Winter (Örök tél) in 2019. As a member of the Academy, she can now also vote for the nominees of this esteemed award.
